Do you agree or disagree with following statement? Television, newspaper, magazines, and other media pay too much attention to the personal lives of famous people such as public figures and celebrities. Use specific reason and details to explain your opinion.
Since information is getting easier to be access, people received abundant news from internet, television and magazines more than before, not to mention the influence from media has already make a huge distinguish from this new generation. As far as I’m concerned, I truly believe that these novel channels of information pay too much attention to famous people.
In the field of television, people had too many channels to choose since cable TV has been invented. There are more than 100 channels for you decide to watch, some people even watch TV all the day instead of going outdoor, then it brings a new definition so called “couch potato”. However, it has becoming a hard time to control the quality of these TV shows. In one of the most obvious case, TV news has not long concerned about those environment issues and turned into paying attention to singers or movie stars, moreover, they do even reported the details of the private life of famous people. In the broad of view, it was apparently catch peoples’ eyeball rather than environment issues. Take this young generation for example, they don't even know who the Secretary of Defense is, but they definitely know who Brad Pitt’s new girlfriend is! Teenagers paying too much attention to celebrities and all the chatting topics are being around them, seldom concerned their future and care about their family.
In old days we said that newspaper brings knowledge, I think this theory has no longer existed since reporters put too many pictures from followed singers and movie stars. In Taiwan, this kind of newspaper did really sales well. Teenagers learned how the movie stars’ dressing and crazy about the brand which has been used by the star; Furthermore, they know the whole schedule of their favorite star from newspapers or magazines, and spent all the weekend follow him. Not only teenagers are so ridiculous but also adults. For instance, they always talk about the political figures’ private life, such as who has an affair or who brought a big house that kind of things. And the worst part is that people never getting tired of these gossips, they like keep watching celebrities’ personal life it made them feel like these famous people are under control. It’s such a pity that high quality newspapers has been gone for a long time due to fewer people like to read some nice articles or serious issues.
In short, I cannot agree more that nowadays media and magazines pay too much attention to celebrities’ personal life because this is full of commercial strategy. All the causes of this phenomenon are blamed on the sense of curious from human nature.

Feedbacks from Joseph:
Good conclusion: All the causes of this phenomenon are blamed on the sense of curious from human nature.
Good views:
1.it was apparently catch peoples’ eyeball rather than environment issues
※this view is induced and set in the middle of this paragraph appropriately and then combined with the example of Brad Pitt!
2.It’s such a pity that high quality newspapers has been gone for a long time due to fewer people like to read some nice articles or serious issues
※this view also give the reason to what has made the media so different than before!
Good conjunctions: so natural and make the article fluent!
Some words explained seem a little unnatural, but easy to understand. Maybe Nancy can make it more logical in terms of English usage if time permitted.
Thank you:)
You provide the readers some interesting examples about how the media affect our lives, especially in the second paragraph. Also, the second and third paragraph are persuasive because you indicate the truth of our society and make the readers to think about that.
I have another suggestion for you, that is, I think maybe you can add some examples of side effects on the public besides the teenagers you mention.
