Groups or organizations are an important part of some people’s lives. Why are groups or organizations important to people? Use specific reasons and examples to explain your answer.
Most of the time, people tend to be parts of the groups or organizations because that will make them feel safe and belonging. What’s more, when people get the security and belonging, they get the identity to be parts of the groups or organizations, and then this kind of situation forms a circle, called virtuous circle. And this will reinforce the importance of groups or organizations.
To trace back to the origin of human beings, we know that humans always lived in a group, no matter form family to the society. They had to hunt with a group or even cooperate with others to develop the civilization at that time. Due to the experiences of our ancestors, we get to know that staying or working in a group is safer and more efficient than working alone. We can take an example from the modern society, organizations and companies always distribute their employees into several groups and believe that can obtain the best efficiency. Each member in the group shares the pressure and responsibility to others and feels he or she is safe because of the big shelter- the group. Generally speaking, people tend to work in a group or an organization because of the security it provides.
Another reason for why groups and organizations are so important for people is because of the belonging. People who don’t belong to any groups or organizations are just like creatures without habitats. The belonging is so important to human beings because it provides an aim or a belief for our lives. When people get into groups or organizations, they receive the aims or belief s to urge them making progress. To be more specific, when people work alone, the progress or achievement is limited; however, to work in a group makes people feel they have the mission and they have to do better to make their group succeed, and this, we call it the belonging.
In a nutshell, to many people, groups and organizations are an important part of their lives. They gain the security and belonging by staying in groups, and they soak the nutrients of the groups to achieve their goals, and that’s what people cannot do alone.
